Coming Home

C O M I N G  H O M E….

I love to travel……I feel lucky that I get to travel for my work and sometimes I am being asked: „…But where is your home? Don’t you feel up-rooted if you are always on the road?“ My honest answer is no……I am excited and inspired to find a sense of home wherever I go….I love seeing my friends places and how they live and love that I get to share a bit of their lifestyle…..

Daniel and I are on the road in Europe right now and sleep on couches, in yoga studios, in cozy hotel beds, in our families and friends homes and what makes it feel like home to us is that we are connected from our hearts. Home to me means a Sacred Space and if I can create it wherever I go, I will feel home. How do we create the Sacred Space we call home? Read More

Longing for Love?

Longing for Love?

LONGING FOR LOVE?

rumi

Still one of my favorite quotes……have you found the love you long for? Often we think this love is coming to us if we are lucky, yet I believe we have to make ourselves ready to receive it. Over the last couple of weeks, while leading our retreat at Anamaya and having visits from friends, I shared many great conversations about love and it seems, it’s still the biggest challenge out there, to find love and to love ourselves better.

So here is a reminder of some great & simple tools we can use: Read More

Happy Birthday, Montezuma Yoga!

Happy Birthday, Montezuma Yoga!

This sunday, November 30th, we will celebrate Montezuma Yoga‘s 13th Birthday.

I remember so very well how I arrived here in december 2000 from New York City and fell in love……Montezuma Yoga then was born almost a year later while lying in the hammock listening to the sound of the ocean and having a moment with a glimpse of an idea to create a website. You know, those glimpses that we easily forget and not react on, because we think we can do it later…….thank god I did react that moment, because it shifted my life into the new direction I am so grateful for today…..

Celebrating 5 years together…..

Celebrating 5 Years together…..

I am grateful for all the people in my life who have inspired me to believe in love and a conscious relationship, where we can grow and expand, surrender and fully be ourselves. It didn’t come easy for me, but I was never so much interested in pursuing a specific career, and my deepest longing was always to find true love, so I never gave up….

Hooray for being selfish today!!!

Hooray for being selfish today! But let’s take a closer look at “selfish” first….

We have all somehow been conditioned by our families and society that taking care of our own wellbeing or putting ourselves first is SELFISH and that we should care about everybody else first. Then we spend years unraveling all these beliefs and conditioning, peeling away layers of self-doubt and questioning, to realize that there is indeed a very healthy way of being selfish, and that in the end only when YOUR cup is full you will be able to give your love back to others.

A Warm Welcome To My Kula…….

Welcome to my new site. I like to share with you all things that inspire me…..from yoga to delicious food to thoughts to music and other little gems I find inspiring….

If you don’t know what Kula means it refers to a clan or tribe, a community of likeminded people. In my experience and in the philosophy of yoga this is one of the most important tools for transformation.
Think about it, what would we be without our tribe, our friends and family, the people that support us to be who we want to be, that remind us of our strength when we feel weak, the people who inspire us and lift us up, or simply hold space for us when we need it?
