I love to travel……I feel lucky that I get to travel for my work and sometimes I am being asked: „…But where is your home? Don’t you feel up-rooted if you are always on the road?“ My honest answer is no……I am excited and inspired to find a sense of home wherever I go….I love seeing my friends places and how they live and love that I get to share a bit of their lifestyle…..
Daniel and I are on the road in Europe right now and sleep on couches, in yoga studios, in cozy hotel beds, in our families and friends homes and what makes it feel like home to us is that we are connected from our hearts. Hooray for being selfish today! But let’s take a closer look at “selfish” first….
We have all somehow been conditioned by our families and society that taking care of our own wellbeing or putting ourselves first is SELFISH and that we should care about everybody else first. Then we spend years unraveling all these beliefs and conditioning, peeling away layers of self-doubt and questioning, to realize that there is indeed a very healthy way of being selfish, and that in the end only when YOUR cup is full you will be able to give your love back to others.

If you don’t know what Kula means it refers to a clan or tribe, a community of likeminded people. In my experience and in the philosophy of yoga this is one of the most important tools for transformation.
Think about it, what would we be without our tribe, our friends and family, the people that support us to be who we want to be, that remind us of our strength when we feel weak, the people who inspire us and lift us up, or simply hold space for us when we need it?
